M. Nannan (1923 – 2017) was an Indian educationist, bureaucrat and socio-political activist.

He served as a Professor of Tamil at the Presidency College, Madras.

Nannan was an ardent supporter of the Self Respect Movement and the Pure Tamil Movement.

He has openly spoken in support of the Dravidar Kazhagam and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and participated in agitations against the removal of the Kannagi statue.

K. V. Nannan was elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Chengam constituency, which is reserved for candidates from the Scheduled Castes, in the 1996 elections.

He was a candidate of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party.

Xu Nannan (徐囡囡; born 1977) is a Chinese freestyle skier and Olympic medalist. She received a silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, in aerials.

She participated at the 1996 Asian Winter Games in Harbin, where she received a silver medal.

Zhao Nannan (simplified Chinese: 赵楠楠; traditional Chinese: 趙楠楠; pinyin: Zhào Nánnán; born 1990) is a Chinese female short track speed skater. She competed for China at the 2010 Winter Olympics in the 500 metres.

Liu Nannan (simplified Chinese: 刘南楠; traditional Chinese: 劉南楠; pinyin: Liú Nánnán; born 1983) is a former Chinese tennis player.

Starting in 2001, Nannan has enjoyed considerable success on the ITF Women's Circuit, and occasionally qualified for WTA Tour events.

Though her success at the WTA level of the game has so far fallen short of the stellar heights, achieved by some of her Chinese contemporaries such as Peng Shuai, Li Na, Zheng Jie, Sun Tiantian and Yan Zi, she has come close enough at times for future hope of stronger results to justifiably abide.

3. Chieftain of Ezhimalai

Ezhimala Nannan: Nannan was a chieftain of Ezhimalai ("the Ezhil Kunram"). Nannan is known as a great enemy of the early (pre-Pallava) Chera chieftains (western Tamil Nadu and central Kerala).

He appeas in Akananuru and Purananuru poems, and also in Natrinai, in Pathitruppathu and in Kurunthokai. He is described as the hunter chieftain of the vetar descent group ("vetar-ko-man").

Early Tamil poems contain several references to the exploits of Ezhimalai Nannan (who was also known as the lord of Konkanam)
