Ho-Oh (Japanese: ホウオウ Houou) is a dual-type Fire/Flying Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation II.It is not known to evolve
into or from any other Pokémon.
It was the first Generation
II Pokémon revealed, in the August 1996 issue of CoroCoro,[1] less than six
months after the release of Pokémon Red and Green, and more than three years
before the release of Pokémon Gold and Silver.
