Ikazaki

1. Town in Japan: 

Ikazaki (五十崎町, Ikazaki-chō) was a town located in Kita District, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. 

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 5,746 and a density of 149.29 persons per km². The total area was 38.49 km². 

On January 1, 2005, Ikazaki, along with the town of Oda (from Kamiukena District), was merged into the expanded town of Uchiko and no longer exists as an independent municipality.

Ikazaki has an annual kite fighting competition on May 5. Bladed metal instruments called 'gagari' are attached to kite strings and used to cut down other kites.

2. Railway station in the town of Uchiko

Ikazaki Station (五十崎駅, Ikazaki-eki) is a passenger railway station in the town of Uchiko, Kita District, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. 

It is operated by JR Shikoku and has the station number "U11".

Ikazaki Station was opened on 1 February 1920 as a station of the private Ehime Railway (愛媛鉄道, Ehime Tetsudō), a 762 mm (2 ft 6 in) light railway line from Wakamiya Junction (若宮連絡所, Wakamiya-renraku-sho), near Nagahama-machi (the present Iyo-Nagahama) to Uchiko.
